 Venezuela Warns Washington Planning ‘False Flag’ To Spark War

A US warship arrived in the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday for four days of military drills

Venezuela accused Trinidad and Tobago on 27 October of conducting military exercises coordinated with the US military’s Southern Command and CIA to provoke an armed confrontation on Venezuelan soil.

Caracas issued a statement saying that the joint military operation was meant to spark a war in the same way the Gulf of Tonkin false flag incident sparked the Vietnam War in 1964.

A US warship, the USS Gravely, docked in the Trinidad and Tobago capital on Sunday to participate in four days of training exercises that were only scheduled recently, AP reported, citing officials of the twin-island nation.

A statement issued by Venezuela accused Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar of surrendering her country’s national sovereignty and allowing its territory to be used as a US military base.

Caracas said the policy seeks to transform Trinidad and Tobago into an “aircraft carrier” for US military operations targeting Venezuela, Colombia, and all of South America.
