Israeli Channel 14 reported that Ministers Itamar Ben‑Gvir and Israel Katz have decided to add a new criterion to those under which Israeli settlers are granted gun‑carry permits.
Under this new criterion, an additional 10,000 settlers will be allowed to carry weapons.
Since Ben‑Gvir assumed his post, the number of personal firearm permits has risen by hundreds of thousands, and he aims to continue doubling that number, Al-Qastal reports that this is a move that effectively amounts to a slow extermination of Palestinians, as these weapons are used in Israel settlers’ crimes against Palestinian towns and villages.
