❗️Venezuela, Iran reaffirm ‘strategic alliance’ in Caracas meeting
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil said on Monday that he met with Iran’s ambassador to Caracas, Ali Shaghani, to reaffirm what he called a “strategic alliance, friendship, and shared struggle in defense of sovereignty, development, and multipolarity.”
According to Gil, Venezuela received a message of solidarity from Iran during the meeting in light of “threats to peace and security in Venezuela, the Caribbean region, and Latin America as a whole.”
He further underlined Venezuela’s confidence in advancing cooperation with Iran, both bilaterally and through multilateral platforms, noting that these relations will continue to expand in line with the country’s diplomacy of peace.
