❗️Netanyahu tells Israeli army chief to ‘stop the army’s media briefings,’ says they ‘undermine unity and morale’
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pressed Israeli army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to “stop the army’s media briefings,” arguing they “undermine unity and morale and are not legitimate in a democracy,” according to a Monday report.
“Debates can happen behind closed doors, but outside, there must be a united front and an iron fist,” Netanyahu added.
Zamir later presented a proposed deal with Hamas, detailing its potential advantages and voicing support for it, though the majority of ministers opposed the plan. Ministers Gideon Saar and Gila Gamliel backed the proposal, while Netanyahu insisted to its opponents that “no vote is needed; it’s not on the table.”
