Republican Senator Rand Paul voiced skepticism about the effectiveness of military action against Iran, saying on ABC News that he was unsure bombing the country would achieve its intended goals.
Paul, along with Democratic Senator Mark Warner, warned that a strike could backfire by unifying Iranians against an external threat rather than weakening the ruling system.
Speaking on “Fox News Sunday,” Warner cautioned that an attack on Iran could rally the population against the US “in a way that the regime has not been able to.”
