❗️Israel’s Army Radio:
“After we revealed at the beginning of the week how Hamas, before October 7, succeeded in building a large intelligence system based on information gathered from the social media accounts of Israeli soldiers and by monitoring them over the course of years, the army is launching a broad initiative to try to stop this phenomenon.
A new technological system, called “Morpheus,” based on artificial intelligence, will monitor all social media accounts of Israeli soldiers and will examine every post they upload: texts, photos, and videos.
The system has been trained with AI to analyze posts and determine whether they reveal sensitive information (bases, military locations, classified weapons, or any other information). When necessary, it will forward cases for review by information-security officers.
If a soldier publishes a post that reveals prohibited information or violates security guidelines, they will receive an automatic notification informing them that they have broken the rules and must delete the post. When required, they will also receive a phone call from an information-security officer.
The system is expected to receive all necessary legal approvals soon and is anticipated to begin operation at the start of December.”
