❗️Iraq seeks to expand economic cooperation with Turkish companies, says PM Sudani
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani said on Sunday that Baghdad is committed to strengthening cooperation with Turkish enterprises, highlighting the $20 billion trade volume between Iraq and Turkiye and their growing ties over the past two years.
Speaking at a meeting with representatives of 17 Turkish firms, Sudani stressed the importance of investment and business as the foundation for deepening economic relations, and noted Iraq’s intention to create favorable conditions for attracting foreign investment.
He also underscored the role of the Development Road project in boosting cooperation between Iraq, Turkiye, and the wider region.
