Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, speaking at this year’s World Government Summit, claimed that Lebanon is now “safe and secure,” even as Israeli attacks continue to strike the country’s southern villages. Since the so-called ceasefire, hundreds of Lebanese families have been killed and displaced, with communities enduring repeated bombardment and persistent threats against their homes and agricultural land.
