The Trump Administration Has Bypassed Congress To Approve An Emergency $2.04 Billion Arms Sale To Israel, Fast-Tracking The Transfer Of Tens Of Thousands Of Bombs.
➤ The deal includes over 35,529 MK 84 and BLU-117 general-purpose 2000-pounds bombs and 4,000 2000-pound bunker-buster warheads (I-2000)
➤ Secretary of State Rubio justified the move by declaring an “emergency” in U.S. national security interests, that requires the immediate sale to the Government of Israel, thereby waiving the Congressional review requirements under Section 36(b) of the Arms Export Control Act
➤ Deliveries are expected to begin in 2026.
