Retraction Regarding Article On Gaza Disappearances:

On 24 June, The Cradle published a news article titled “Harvard-linked study finds Israel ‘disappeared’ nearly 400,000 Palestinians in Gaza, half of them children: Report,” which mistakenly stated that a study by Israeli professor Yaakov Garb had determined at least 377,000 people in Gaza were unaccounted for since the start of the genocide.
Further investigation and statements by Professor Garb have made it clear, however, that the figure was based on a misreading of a map used in his study to illustrate how difficult it is for most Palestinians in Gaza to access Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid compounds relative to population centers.
As a result, our editors have decided to withdraw the article entirely and issue this public clarification.
