Gallant’s head was on the chopping block in September for voicing opposition to escalation with Hezbollah days b4 the pager attack, which Netanyahu took credit for and said he faced sever opposition from members of the defense establishment. Gallant finally got fired 2 months later in September after Netanyahu’s aide was arrested in a joint operation between the Shin bet and IDF, Gallant was also calling for hostage deal to be made in days b4 his firing / Netanyahu’s aide’s arrest

A. undermine investigations into his office
B. Because of their pressuring for a hostage deal
C. Them demanding an investigation / official inquiry into Oct 7th
D. He’s afraid of being removed from power
