“The U.S. will support Syria’s neighbors, including Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Israel.”
“We will help ensure stability in eastern Syria, protecting any of our personnel against any threats.”
“We will engage with all Syrian groups [to] establish a transition away from the Assad regime, toward an independent, sovereign Syria.”
“The U.S. will do whatever we can, including through humanitarian relief.”
