President Biden Announces U.S. Involvement In Syria Rebellion, Wants To Directly Help The People “Seize” On The New Opportunity By Establishing A New Regime.

Biden also hinted at sending aid to Syria.

“Our approach has shifted the balance of power in the Middle East […] We now see new opportunities.”

“The U.S. will support Syria’s neighbors, including Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Israel.”

“We will help ensure stability in eastern Syria, protecting any of our personnel against any threats.”

“We will engage with all Syrian groups [to] establish a transition away from the Assad regime, toward an independent, sovereign Syria.”

“The U.S. will do whatever we can, including through humanitarian relief.”
