Read MoreLONDON: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer told Israelās President Isaac Herzog there needed to be āimmediate stepsā toward a ceasefire in Israelās conflict with Hamas militants in Gaza.
āThe Prime Minister said there must be immediate steps toward a ceasefire, so that hostages can be released and more humanitarian aid can get in for those in desperate need,ā Starmerās office said in a statement released on Sunday.
āThe Prime Minister reiterated his ongoing support for Israelās right to self-defense in accordance with international law,ā the statement said.
