New: Israel Is Carrying Out A Targeted Campaign Of Arrests Against The Wives And Sisters Of Palestinian Detainees, The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club Said, Condemning The Latest Detention And Abduction Of Wafaa Abu Ghlemi, Wife Of Imprisoned Leader Ahed Abu Ghlemi.
She was seized from her home in Ramallah during a West Bank raid today in which 20 other people were also detained, including a girl and two other children.
The group says the arrests are part of a systematic escalation against women since the start of Israel’s genocidal war, with about 675 women detained in the West Bank and dozens more from Gaza.
Rights groups have found female detainees in Israeli torture centers face abuse, including sexual violence and rape, starvation, isolation, and degrading conditions, with many jailed over alleged “incitement” on social media or held without charge under so-called secret files.
