The Israeli prime minister has given the former US journalist the ‘portfolio’ to arrange for the ethnic cleansing of Gaza

Caroline Glick, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s international affairs advisor, has been given the portfolio to expel Palestinians from Gaza to foreign nations, Haaretz reported on 30 April.

As part of the effort, Glick approached Somaliland and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to accept Palestinians, but her proposal was rejected by both countries, a source familiar with the matter told the liberal-left Israeli paper.

Another source familiar with the issue said that Glick, a former journalist born in the US, gave presentations promoting the plan to displace Palestinians from Gaza to officials at the US Embassy in Israel.

The presentations followed the announcement of US President Donald Trump’s plan to take full control of Gaza and build the “Riviera of the Middle East” on the ruins of cities destroyed by Israel during its two-year genocide of Palestinians in the strip.

A diplomatic cable viewed by Haaretz assessed that through “connections at various levels in both Israel and the US,” Glick sought to “translate the Trump plan to a concrete action plan, assuming that Trump had outlined the vision and direction, and now it was up to the Israelis to develop detailed plans and begin implementing them.”
