Michael Gove, a former British Secretary of State for Education, has suggested in an article for The Jewish Chronicle that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) should be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize.

While in government last year, Gove was accused of being behind a witch/hunt against pro-Palestine protesters, publicly asserting that the hundreds of thousands who demonstrated in London each week should “pay a price”. This was clear opposition to free speech and the right to assembly in the United Kingdom, all in order to please a foreign government accused of genocide at the highest judicial body on earth.
