 Got kicked out of my family gathering on Christmas because I made a joke when my step-dad was showing off this Alexxa- connected console that connects to all the lights and devices in the house to it. He gave a Hey alexxa command afterwhich I said “Hey Alexxa, Tell the local fusion center I’m funding al Qaeda ….. (dramatic pause) in Syria, with my tax dollars”

and he asked why I “would do that in this house”, and was like “hey alexxa [my full name] said that hes funding Al Qaeda”

“yes you are too”

And then he kicked me out and on the way he was asking me “Don’t you think you’re a radical”

“Because I’m upset we’re funding Al-Qaeda and ISIS jihadis in Syria? Pretty sure they’re the radicals.”

Keep in mind I had just watched videos of HTS (Al-qaeda) jihadis burning a town christmas tree (With Syrian Christrians protesting against that), along with Alawite citizens being executed by HTS (Al Qaeda) Jihadis, the rumination of such led to my joke.

Crazy to me how that joke had me kicked out. Added irony is we’re already so entrenched in a dystopian police state that he seemed legitimately scared I said that phrase “Im funding Al qaeda” within earshot of Alexxa.

He isn’t upset we live in a surveillance police state, or that our government was/ is funding Al Qaeda to destroy a foreign country, but god forbit I troll the bois at the local fusion center with a joke making fun of these facts.

I understand he doesn’t realize that our government is cool with Al Qaeda proxies now and Al Qaeda is our government’s allies / proxies but jeez,

I guess im radical for not being cool and hip to supporting Al Qaeda…… Thought Al Qaeda was bad?

I guess not when the government says so🤷‍♂️
Bit mixxed messaging with Jolani still having a 10 million dollar bounty on his head for being a leader of ISIS and Al Qaeda in Syria, responsible for numerous atrocities including many beheadings.
