Egyptian Intel Chief Meets Netanyahu As Concerns Grow Over Ceasefire Violations
Israel has killed dozens of Palestinians in recent days, while obstructing the entry of aid into Gaza in violation of the ceasefire deal
Egypt’s intelligence chief Hassan Mahmoud Rashid made a trip to Israel on 21 October and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the ceasefire process in Gaza.
The two discussed “advancing [US] President [Donald] Trump’s plan, Israel–Egypt relations and strengthening the peace between the countries, as well as other regional issues,” according to an Israeli readout of the meeting.
Egypt’s Al-Qahera News reported that Rashid discussed the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza with Netanyahu and his team.
He is reportedly set to meet US envoy Steve Witkoff, who is currently visiting Israel as well.
US Vice President JD Vance also arrived in Israel on Tuesday. According to his office, Vance met Witkoff and former Trump advisor Jared Kushner. He is due to meet Netanyahu and Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Wednesday.

One didn’t have to be an [Egyptian intelligence analyst, or have access to the high tech Israeli surveillance apparatus or be station on the Gaza Border, to see the warning signs Hamas was outright telling the world they were ready for “all-out war” just weeks prior to the Oct. 7th attack..

Many dismiss talk of intelligence failure as simply a result of arrogance and hubris, which maybe would satisfy to potentially explain a dismissal of intelligence from one or two source, but..
When you have multiple internal and external intelligence sources repeatedly warning for a year an attack was being planned.. With internal intelligence providing detailed intel indicating why junior intelligence thought that an attack was on the horizon, with details of the training, and even the attack plans..
and those internal sources were threatened with court martial for continuing to warn despite prior warnings falling on deaf and dismissive ears..
