Azerbaijan, UAE Discuss Expanded Military Cooperation
The ‘Indestructible Partnership-2025’ drills joined Azerbaijani and Emirati forces to enhance coordination and field experience
Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, on 27 October, met with Brigadier General Mohammed Saeed Alsalmi, commander of the Special Operations Forces of the UAE Presidential Guard, to discuss expanding military cooperation.
The meeting focused on deepening ties “across various fields,” with Hasanov underscoring that joint activities are strengthening the relationship, according to the Defense Ministry account.
Officials highlighted the importance of what they called “Indestructible Partnership-2025,” a joint special forces exercise held in Azerbaijan to exchange experience.
Alsalmi pointed to the value of mutual visits and drills in advancing cooperation between special forces units from both states.
Following the talks, the UAE delegation visited an Azerbaijani Special Forces unit.
