Azerbaijan, Israel Sign Agreement To Deepen Private Sector Ties

The latest push for economic cooperation comes after years of arms, energy, and intelligence ties between Baku and Tel Aviv

Azerbaijani officials announced deepening political and economic coordination with Israel during meetings and a joint press conference in Baku, Azernews reported on 26 January.

The meeting outlined expanded energy, trade, tourism, and investment ties following recent leadership talks in Davos.

Business representatives from both countries discussed private-sector cooperation, with talks focusing on potential commercial exchanges, investment cooperation, and B2B engagement.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov appeared alongside Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar at a joint press conference in Baku, where Bayramov said relations between the two states were “steadily improving” and described them as strategically significant.

Bayramov pointed to recent high-level contacts, saying that “just a few days ago, the leaders of both countries met in Davos,” adding that regular political consultations between the two foreign ministries were ongoing, alongside activity by intergovernmental and interparliamentary bodies.
