A video circulating on social media shows Syrians speaking up against HTS leader and head of the new Syrian administration Ahmad al-Sharaa (Abu Mohammad al-Julani) after 9-10 women were reportedly kidnapped and imprisoned by his forces yesterday.
There has been an uprising of Syrian extremist opposition forces against Julani in Idlib and Aleppo recently, protesting for the release of those imprisoned by his forces. Others are rising up against him for ‘betraying the revolution’ and working as an agent of the US. Many want the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate, while Julani has rebranded as ‘moderate’ in his attempt to gain international legitimacy.
