Once one of Gaza’s largest districts, situated between Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia, Khan Yunis, and Rafah, Al-Zaytoun now lies flattened, part of a campaign of destruction aimed at making the enclave uninhabitable and driving its people from the land.
