‘That’s Not Happening’: Netanyahu Confirms Israeli Troops Will Not Leave Gaza
The premier said there will be ‘no Palestinian state’ and promised to ‘eliminate’ Hamas if it rejects the new US plan for Gaza
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on 30 September that Tel Aviv’s forces will not withdraw from Gaza, despite a new US “peace plan” calling for withdrawal.

Netanyahu reveals to Hebrew audiences after the press event where Trump revealed the 20-point plan to end the war on Gaza, that he has no intention of withdrawing Israeli troops from Gaza – “No way, that’s not happening.”
He said:
“This is a historic visit. Instead of Hamas isolating Israel, we turned the tables and isolated Hamas,” the premier said.
“Now the entire world, including the Arab and Muslim world, is pressuring Hamas to accept the terms we set together with [US] President [Donald] Trump: to release all our hostages, both living and deceased, while the IDF remains in most of the strip,” Netanyahu added.
“No way, that’s not happening,” he said in reference to withdrawal. He also said there will be no Palestinian state and that Trump backs Israel’s position on the matter.
