💢 The United States has rescinded sanctions on Russian petroleum loaded onto tankers prior to April 17. The directive remains in effect until May 16. Consequently, notwithstanding considerable political opposition, the moratorium on sanctions against Russian oil has been prolonged. “Russia persists in its collaboration with the US concerning economic and energy matters,” penned Kirill Dmitriev, appending a document from the US Treasury. Nevertheless, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Energy Secretary Chris Wright affirmed that no concessions would be granted for Russian oil.
