🇵🇪❌🇲🇽 Peru has declared Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum persona non grata after she condemned the ongoing persecution of ousted President Pedro Castillo and called on the UN to intervene.
Let’s be clear: Pedro Castillo, Peru’s first Indigenous president, was democratically elected in 2021 and removed in what many see as a U.S.-backed parliamentary coup.
Since then, Peru has been run by a Western-aligned puppet regime that violently represses dissent and jails opposition. Over 60 protesters were killed in anti-coup demonstrations. Castillo remains imprisoned.
Sheinbaum’s “crime”? Expressing solidarity with Castillo and denouncing the coup as political persecution.
