⭕️ World Bank opens regional hub in Riyadh
The World Bank has opened a new hub in Riyadh to oversee operations across the “Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan (MENAAP)”.
The office, co-located with the Bank’s GCC regional base, relocates the MENAAP vice president and senior directors to Saudi Arabia. Vice President Ousmane Dione said Riyadh offers a platform for knowledge exchange and policy innovation, noting the move coincided with Saudi National Day.
The launch coincides with the 50th anniversary of World Bank–Saudi cooperation and follows the establishment of a Knowledge Hub in Riyadh aimed at supporting research, capacity-building, and development initiatives.
