Israel is closing its embassies worldwide and has advised its citizens to remain vigilant and avoid showing Jewish or Israeli symbols in public, according to statements published on embassy websites.
The announcements also said consular services would be suspended and called on citizens to work with local security authorities if they encounter any hostile incidents.
