Rojava Network reports that a leaked document reveals a secret pact between Israel, Druze leaders from Suwayda, and Druze representatives from Israel, with quiet US backing. The meeting, allegedly held at the Israeli army’s Northern Command, discussed declaring Suwayda’s independence under a political model similar to Cyprus, with Israel pledging political, military, and economic support and pushing for UN recognition.

The plan includes forming a Druze-led local defense force, full logistical and intelligence support from the Israeli army, protection from HTS attacks, and investment in solar energy projects managed jointly by Israeli experts and Druze investors. Netanyahu reportedly told Druze elders that Israel considers them strategic allies and promised intervention would be “humanitarian” while not interfering in their sovereignty.

The leak also outlines a backup Israeli plan for Syria’s Kurds, potentially replicating the “Suwayda model” in northeast Syria if they come under attack by the regime, Turkiye-backed groups, or sectarian unrest. This could lead to a Druze-Kurdish alliance under indirect Israeli protection, joint training between the proposed “Suwayda Defense Forces” and the SDF, and logistical support from Israel.
