❗️Yemen’s Ansarallah declares war on US oil giants
Yemen’s Ansarallah announced on Tuesday they would impose sanctions on US oil giants including ExxonMobil and Chevron.
The Sanaa-based Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC), created last year to coordinate between the Yemeni Armed Forces and commercial shipping operators, said it sanctioned 13 US companies, nine executives, and two vessels.
The sanctions are a response to US measures taken against Ansarallah earlier this year, despite a truce agreement with the Trump administration under which the group pledged to halt attacks on US-connected vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, HOCC added.
“The Republic of Yemen will never tolerate any action that affects its sovereignty, security and stability, and will exercise its legitimate right to apply the principle of reciprocity.”
