❗️Trump to visit Israel and Egypt on Monday, calls Gaza ‘important’
US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he believes the ceasefire in Gaza will last because “They’re all tired of fighting … Gaza is very important, but this is beyond Gaza. This is peace in the Middle East — and it is a beautiful thing.”
“It’s a great deal for Israel, but it’s a great deal for everybody,” he told reporters at the Oval Office. “I can tell you that I saw Israel dancing in the streets, but they were dancing in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, many, many countries.”
Trump said the Israeli captives are expected to be released on Monday once the Israeli army completes its partial pullback, with Hamas “getting them now” before they are freed from Gaza.
He confirmed plans to meet “a lot of leaders” in Egypt on Monday to discuss Gaza, likely in Cairo, and said he will address the Knesset during his visit to Israel earlier that same day.
