 ❗️The Internal Security Forces in Aleppo (SDF police force known as Asayish) condemned the continued assaults and provocations carried out by the Syrian Interim Government forces and their armed groups, which are targeting the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods and threatening the security and stability of civilians.

The Asayish said that in recent hours, one of their positions near the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood came under sniper fire and direct shooting in an apparent attempt to create tension and push the area toward renewed armed confrontations. They described this as a blatant violation of efforts to maintain security and protect civilians.

The statement stressed that these attacks come despite ongoing efforts to ensure calm and uphold the ceasefire, proving that the attacking parties are not committed to any de-escalation understandings or agreements and are continuing a policy of escalation aimed at destabilizing the area.
