❗️Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaybani:
○ “The new administration wants to hold a national dialogue.”
○ “We sent messages that Syria will not be a source of threat to any country, including Israel, and just as they want to preserve their security, they must preserve the security of others.”
○ “We confirmed our commitment to the 1974 agreement, which stipulates the placement of separation forces between Syrian territory and the Israeli border. In this way, both parties can preserve their security under international supervision.”
○ “We call on the international community, the United Nations, and brotherly and friendly countries to exert pressure on Israel to withdraw from Syrian territory.”
○ “The Israelis used Hezbollah, the Assad regime and Iranian militias as a pretext to bomb Syria in the past.”
○ “With the removal of these risks, they should have respected Syria’s sovereignty and not interfered in Syrian territory.”
