❗️Starmer & Sharaa discuss migration and border security in London
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held talks with Syria’s self-appointed President Ahmad al-Sharaa in London focused on migration and strengthening cooperation on returns, border security, and efforts to combat people-smuggling networks, Starmer’s office said on Tuesday.
A Downing Street spokesperson added that Starmer welcomed measures taken by the Syrian government against ISIS and advances in UK-Syria counterterrorism cooperation, while also discussing broader regional stability and economic matters.
