❗️Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has stated that the Palestinian Authority (PA) is prepared to take “full responsibility” in post-war Gaza. This marks his first comment following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
“The Palestinian government, under president Abbas’s directives, has completed all preparations to assume full responsibility in Gaza,” a presidency statement declared on Friday. On Friday, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa stated that government institutions were prepared to resume operations and reestablish basic services in Gaza.
