• An armored Israeli occupation force infiltrated the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside to carry out an arrest operation.

• The force detained two fighters whom Israel claims were involved in shootings, roadside bombs, and planning further operations, allegedly belonging to the Jama’a al-Islamiyya (The Islamic Group).

• As the force withdrew, residents of the town ambushed the unit at close range, opening heavy fire in a coordinated attack.

• According to Israel’s own admission, six soldiers were wounded in the ambush, including two officers, with three listed in serious condition.

• Local fighters also disabled a military Humvee vehicle, which the Israeli force was unable to recover due to the intensity of gunfire from residents.

• Israeli jets and artillery intervened, striking the abandoned vehicle and launching heavy bombardment that caused widespread destruction.

• Thirteen Syrians from the town were killed and several others injured as a result of the Israeli assault.
