❗️Israel reportedly issues so-called warning affecting Beirut amid threat of new strikes
The Israeli Ministry of Defense has reportedly alerted foreign embassies, international organizations, and the Red Cross to what it calls dangerous areas. Specific streets mentioned were in Haret Hreik, Bir Al-Abed, Muawad, Hadath, Al-Mreijeh, and Al-Ruwais.
Additional areas mentioned include Tahwitat Al-Ghadir, Al-Barakat, Al-Ouzai, Al-Basta Al-Tahta, Ras Al-Nabaa, and Palestinian camps in Beirut.
The so-called “warning” comes amid growing concerns of a potential Israeli bombing campaign in Lebanon.
Israeli authorities claim the strikes target Hezbollah military infrastructure, citing alleged violations of ceasefire terms. However, independent verification of these claims is lacking, and no publicly available evidence has been presented to justify new airstrikes in densely populated civilian areas. Previous strikes have already killed residents in southern Beirut, raising fears of further civilian harm.
The warnings follow reports that Israel has received US approval to “take action” in Lebanon, continuing a pattern of strikes that remain disproportionate and lack legal or factual basis.
