❗️Israel pushes into Quneitra in expanding violations of Syrian sovereignty
Israeli forces crossed the Syrian frontier on Sunday, 23 November, erecting a checkpoint near the Ain al-Bayda junction in northern Quneitra and stopping to search civilian vehicles, according to Syrian media.
Additional Israeli units reportedly advanced deeper into the countryside, reaching areas between Jubata al-Khashab, Ofaniya, and Ain al-Bayda, with another detachment moving toward Umm Batina and al-Ajraf.
Local residents say such incursions have intensified in recent months, alongside Israeli expansion onto farmland, mass leveling of forested areas, arrests, and roaming checkpoints. The escalation parallels a broader surge in Israeli aggression across Syria, marked by hundreds of raids and attacks that have coincided with growing instability in parts of the country already strained by sectarian armed groups.
