❗️Israel continues denying entry of UNRWA staff, vital aid supplies
The UN’s Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA reports that the Gaza Strip is still being denied access by Israel for both its international personnel and humanitarian shipments, even as approximately 12,000 local staff continue providing healthcare, psychosocial support, and education under severely challenging conditions.
Israel had earlier banned UNRWA from operating in territory under its control, citing allegations that some of its employees were members of Hamas; a claim that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) found was not substantiated.
UNRWA warns that a ceasefire alone will not suffice, insisting that unrestricted access to food, hygiene kits, tents, and other life-saving supplies is essential and must be delivered without delay.
