The military spokesman for Hamas’s Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, commended the Syrian people for their mass mobilization in support of Palestine and in condemnation of Israel’s newly approved “law” that allows for the execution of Palestinian detainees, saying: “Your voice has reached us, and we are proud of you.” He added that “our hopes, after Allah, are tied to you and to all free people,” expressing confidence that the masses will one day unite to “liberate the sanctuary and the prisoners.”

Demonstrations were reported across Syria in recent days, with large crowds gathering in multiple cities and regions in a broad and coordinated wave of public solidarity across the country.
