Gen Nakatani became the first Japanese defense minister to pay an official visit to Turkiye. He will meet with officials today to discuss defense industry cooperation, including the potential purchase of Turkish-made drones.
Gen and Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler will “discuss ways to expand cooperation on defense equipment and technology and exchange views on regional developments.” The talks will also focus on boosting interaction between the Turkish Armed Forces and Japan’s Self-Defense Forces at the unit level.
