⚡️🇺🇸 United States to break ground on new “State of Art” Ammunition Manufacturing Facility.
In the ever-rebuilding capabilities of the US, it was released yesterday evening (6 FEB, 2025) that the U.S Army’s Joint Munitions Command at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri would see an expansion to include new production lines for ammunition used by the US Army’s newest weapons of the NGSW (Next Gen Squad Weapon) Program; the XM7 Rifle and XM250 Machine Gun, partially replacing the M4 Carbine and the M-249 SAW respectively.
The expansion is set to cost roughly $68 Million (USD) for the added production capability of mass producing 6.8x51mm Ammunition.
