‼️ Iraq freezes payments to Russia’s Lukoil amid US pressure, sanctions fallout
Russia’s Lukoil has declared force majeure at Iraq’s giant West Qurna-2 oilfield following Washington’s October sanctions, part of its campaign to pressure Moscow over the war in Ukraine.
Iraq has since frozen all cash and crude payments to Lukoil, while its state oil marketer canceled multiple shipments for November.
