⭕️ Israel redrawing Gaza’s ‘yellow line’ to entrench occupation, Russia tells UN
Russia’s UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya told the Security Council that Israel is tightening its hold over Gaza by moving the “yellow line” that splits the enclave, leaving Palestinians exposed to Israeli fire when they step over unmarked or newly shifted sections.
He said Israeli forces have altered parts of the line inside Gaza City in breach of the ceasefire and continue to block humanitarian deliveries while more than 300 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli strikes since 10 October.
Nebenzya also highlighted reports that Israel is sponsoring certain Palestinian armed groups to fight Hamas, warning this would trigger “extremely dangerous” consequences.
Nebenzya warned that without Israeli withdrawal and the restoration of Palestinian governance, the truce cannot hold.
